HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This year I didn't go all out on the Halloween dinner like I usually do. I was a little bummed, but the kids had fun regardless and that's all that matters, right?

This weather was PERFECT for trick-or-treating. It was warm and light outside. We went around trick-or-treating with my mother-in-law and with friends in the neighborhood. Ethan is at the perfect age for this stuff. He knows exactly what is going on and ran from house to house with his buddies. I couldn't keep up with him. After the fifth house or so, Anabell got the system down and went to town. Rather than put candy in the kids' bags, people just held their bowl out and let the kids grab their own. Well, Anabell just took candy after candy until the bowl of candy was out of reach. Needless to say her bucket was full before we were half way through the neighborhood. Austin was pretty chill for the most part. He didn't care for the candy. He just came for the ride and walked around with us.
When we finished, we went home, put the two little, exhausted ones to bed, and then had pizza, homemade doughnuts and orange wassel with our friends Tomi, Marc, Kandy and Nate. Of course my mother-in-law can't pass up a night of playing cards so she and Kandy's mom joined us as well. We played games until midnight while Ethan and the other kids played and watched a movie. Ethan enjoyed passing the candy out to the kids that came. When we ran out of candy we gave the kids doughnuts. (We knew all the kids that came to our door).

Grandma Briggs with all the kids.

Ethan dressed up as a Power Ranger and Austin was a bee.

Anabell dressed up as Cinderella.

Um...I dressed up as a doctor. With purple hair. That's about it. This is hilarious. This note was taped on my friend, Kandy's door. It reads "Come to the Briggs house for treats" and then wrote down our address. Ha Ha too funny.
