Fun On Goings With Ethan

Ethan turned 5 last month and I can hardly believe it. Ethan is my little buddy. I love having him home with me. He has a fun personality and makes me laugh. We play games together (and he legitimately beats me), dance, bake, tell jokes, read, do laundry, clean, you name it, he's usually by my side doing it wth me. He's the greatest friend and best company anyone can ask for. He's very creative and is always finding ways to have a good time. He is a good helper with his brother and sister. He has a tender heart and is very caring. He knows all his letters, sounds, numbers to 100, can write his name, knows a little addition and is reading out of books. As sad as I am to have my little baby leave me, I'm excited to see the boy he is becoming. I did a little survey and here are his responses:

P-A-R-T-Y!
Ever since the holidays started, Ethan has wanted his very own party. He wanted a Halloween party, a Thanksgiving party, a Christmas party, New Years Party, etc. He had it all planned out. He had specific food he wanted to eat, music to dance to, games to play and friends he would invite. I tell ya, this kid likes a good party. Finally, last month I told him he could have one. We had 4 boys come over for a few hours on a Friday night to eat pizza and play games. They had a lot of fun. But they didn't expect this: (It's amazing what you can get 5 MANLY boys to do for a treat!)

The thing I overlooked about Ethan's "hang out" party is that his birthday is the same month. And, of course, he wanted to have a birthday party. Since we didn't have one with John's family this year, I couldn't say no. So he invited a few friends for some dinner and then went to Classic Skating. They played on the bounce houses and in an AWESOME nerf gun battle station. I have some video clips below. I had never been to Classic skating, but on Tuesdsays it is only $2 so I thought I'd try it out. It was really fun and the boys had a blast!

My mom baked this chocolate cake from scratch. Then she showed me an easy way to make fondant and I decorated his cake. It was fun and he really liked it. He got the crown from school and wore it all day.On February 7th, Ethan lost his first tooth! It's been loose for a few months so he was glad to have it out. When we called his cousin to tell him, we found out he lost the same one two days earlier! They thought it was awesome so I made sure to get a picture.

Then yesterday morning he came into my room holding his tooth and said "I just wanted it out". Ha ha he pulled the other bottom tooth out himself! So now he has two bottom teeth missing.

We just love this kid and I hope he has a great year being 5!
